Nick Sandford ’16 gives back to Kappa Chapter for one important reason. “I want to ensure that the gift of fraternity is something that will continue at Penn State and the traditions of Phi Sig will live on,” he says.

He credits Phi Sig for self-confidence and leadership that has served him well in his career.

From the very beginning of pledging, Sandford says that he appreciated the casual environment of the house. He got involved quickly and over the course of his time in the house served as THON Chair, Treasurer, and Executive Board Member.

Today, Sandford is an investment risk analyst at Janus Henderson Investors. He lives in Denver, Colorado, where he is an active snowboarder in the winter, and lunch connoisseur during the week.

“Without my fraternity, I wouldn’t have lifelong connections and friends in cities and countries around the world,” he says.
