Looking for a reason to return to Happy Valley this fall? How about to see two of Penn State’s most followed teams in two of the best environments in college sports?

The Penn State football and men’s hockey teams will begin play at Beaver Stadium and Pegula Ice Arena on Sept. 12 and Oct. 10, respectively. Combined, both teams will play 25 games in Happy Valley, giving Phi Sig brothers plenty of options for informal reunions!

The Nittany Lions will begin their second season under head coach James Franklin with a game against Buffalo with games against Rutgers (Sept. 19), San Diego State (Sept. 26) and Army (Oct. 3) to follow. Penn State’s five-game home stand will end with a homecoming game against Indiana on Oct. 10.

Penn State will also host Illinois and Michigan at Beaver Stadium on Oct. 31 and Nov. 21, respectively.

In addition, Phi Sig brothers in the Philadelphia and Baltimore areas won’t have to go very far if they want to see the Nittany Lions close to home. Penn State opens the season against Temple at Lincoln Financial Field on Sept. 5 then travels to Baltimore for a game against Maryland at the Ravens’ M&T Bank Stadium on Oct. 24.

Set to begin its third season in the state of the art Pegula Ice Arena, the Penn State men’s hockey team will play 18 home games plus an exhibition to start the season.

The Nittany Lions host Notre Dame on Friday Oct. 16 and Saturday Oct. 17. Penn State also plays weekend series against AIC (Oct. 23-24), Sacred Heart (Nov. 13-14), Michigan State (Dec. 4-5), Minnesota (Jan. 8-9), Wisconsin (Jan. 15-16) and Ohio State (Feb. 19-20).
