The weekend of June 1st saw a number of alums from six decades return to State College for the 3rd Annual Phi Sig Golf Tournament. The weather was perfect as twenty-three golfers attacked the PSU White Course. Several of our brothers were up for the challenge as they tried to earn some of the fantastic awards. Meanwhile, the cooking brigade, made up of Jon Little '66, Doug Arnold '70 and Bruce Balmat '70, was busy back at the house preparing a scrumptious steak dinner with all the trimmings. The best part of the day was sharing memories with old and newfound friends. And there were plenty of cold beverages to go around. In addition, proceeds from the outing made it possible to contribute $150 to the newly instituted Kappa Chapter Scholarship Fund.

Some of the feedback from attendees were:

"I had a great time and hope to attend future events"......... Bill Warfel '71
"It was great to see everyone again. We enjoyed the game, our teammates, meeting with fellow Phi Sigs (some for the first time) and the terrific snacks and meal" ....... Jeff Rehborn '81
"We had a great time and are looking forward to next year's golf outing"...... Bill DeGrandis '77
"What a great time! I am coming back for this again next year for sure"......... Steve Gavazzi '83

We also received some suggestions for consideration for next year's event:

"Consider a second day of golf on either Friday or Sunday at another local course"
"How about some alternative activities for those who prefer not to golf......... hiking, canoeing, bicycling, bar tour, etc."
"We could hold a 50/50 or an auction of donated items to help raise funds"

The best thing that you, as Phi Sig Alumni, can do is to spread the word about this great event to your friends, pledge brothers and other alumni. We would like to increase attendance next year and attract a wider range of our brotherhood. The camaraderie among friends, old and new, just can't be beat.
