In true Penn State fashion, record-setting attendance provided the perfect atmosphere for a victory. The 65,000-seat Alamodome hosted 66,166 fans as the Lions beat the Aggies of Texas A&M 24-17 in the 2007 Valero Alamo Bowl.

The Nittany Lions were able to recover from an early 14-0 deficit in the second quarter with the efforts of Evan Royster's 38-yard touchdown run, and Deon Butler's 30-yard TD catch. Anthony Morelli passed for 143 yards and running back Rodney Kinlaw ran for 143 yards in the win.

Coaching his 500th game, JoePa earned his 23rd career bowl win, the highest in major college football.
