The men of Kappa Chapter have had a great start to the spring semester so far. We continue to participate in canning and other fundraising efforts to benefit the quickly approaching THON, the largest student-run philanthropy in the world, which will take place February 18th-20th. Just this past weekend alone our canning efforts raised over $1,900 to contribute towards THON.

Our chapter has recently been recognized as the third place winner of Penn State's Interfraternity Council program known as CORE (Commitment to Outreach and Responsible Education). In this competition chapters are awarded points for their active participation in community service, philanthropy, and educational programming. We are looking forward to organizing and participating in our upcoming spring events such as our philanthropy, Super Stars, which benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Rush has recently begun and our first few events have gone very well; we have had a consistent turnout of quality potential members who are interested in joining our organization so far. Keep an eye out for updates on rush and other news from the Kappa Chapter actives in the weeks to come.
