At Kappa Chapter, Homecoming brought out the true meaning of hard work, determination and most importantly, brotherhood. The overall theme, "The Glory Echoes On", reflects on the traditions and values that all Penn Staters embrace. This year's Homecoming chairs were myself (junior, Political Science), Eric Gabriel (junior Landscape Architect) and Andrew Dreilbelbis (junior, Turf Grass Management).

Phi Sig brothers and members of the Whiplash Dance Team worked hard to prepare for all the event competitions. We placed fourth in the For the Glory Talent Show, third in The Best of Penn State Carnival and fourth in the T-Shirt Competition. The biggest highlight was the success of our first annual Homecoming Pig Roast. We wanted to do something out of the ordinary to bring alumni and actives together to promote brotherhood and reflect on the past and present.

We would like to give a special thanks to Andrew Drebelbis and his family, and Jen Pressler for making the Pig Roast such a success. We would also like to thank the alumni who attended. This year's Homecoming was one for the record books and we hope to see an even bigger turnout in 2013.
